Doug was born and raised south of Boston in Pembroke, MA. He attended Southern New Hampshire University for two years and was a pitcher on the baseball team. For the last 17 years, Doug worked as the logistics and purchasing manager for Sagamore Plumbing and Heating, a large mechanical contractor with 150 plumbers. At Sagamore Plumbing and Heating, Doug worked daily with the foremen to help manage up to 50 projects.
When a position opened up at General Insulation, Doug’s brother Mike, GIC’s 3M Firestop Specialist for New England, and good friend Frank Costa, GIC’s outside salesman for the Malden/Auburn branches, convinced him General Insulation is a great place to work. Doug also knew what a great guy “Big Frank” is from playing basketball with him for years, so he decided to accept the offer. Outside of work, Doug enjoys both watching and playing sports. He participates in flag football and ice hockey leagues as well as plays golf and basketball.
