Warehouse Associate
General Insulation Company is a national wholesale distributor of commercial and industrial insulation products, HVAC supplies, 3M Firestop products, and associated construction supplies. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Works under the direction of the Warehouse Manager.
- Ensures all orders are pulled correctly and inventory is accurate.
- Unload/load all incoming and outgoing freight.
- Ensure material is double checked before loaded.
- Ensure cleanliness of warehouse and office area.
- Pick orders correctly and accurately.
- Restock material.
- Clean trucks to ensure everything is orderly and can be loaded and unloaded with ease
- Work with Inside Sales team when necessary.
- Maintains safety mindset in all duties performed, especially (but not limited to) driving, material handling and job site evaluation.
Candidate Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous experience in a factory or warehouse setting recommended
- Must possess excellent communication skills
- Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license
- Must be able to lift and move items of 40-70 pounds on a regular basis
- Must be able to climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop on a frequent basis
- Capable of working odd hours including evenings and weekends when assigned
