In 2016, The Dow Chemical Company sold its global specialty films business to Transilwrap Company, Inc., now called Transcendia, Inc. This included the Saran Vapor Retarder product line, which is manufactured exclusively for ITW Insulation Systems.
Due to the divestiture of the films business from Dow, ITW Insulation Systems and our supplier Transcendia will no longer use the “Saran” brand name. All “Saran” vapor retarder products will be rebranded under the name “Saranex”. Read more from the ITW Insulation Systems announcement here…
