Frank R. Granara
President
B.S. Business Administration, Northeastern University, Boston, MA.
Attended Bentley College's M.B.A. Program
Frank began his career in the insulation business as a truck driver. Frank then began working in an apprenticeship program at Boston Local 6 for asbestos workers. Frank became an estimator and salesman.

In 1982, Frank purchased General Insulation Company and has since served as president and Chief Executive Officer.
Lawrence D. Murphy
Executive Vice President
Larry graduated from Somerville High School in Somerville, MA and is a life-long Somerville area resident. Larry spent several years working in the Asbestos and Heat & Frost Union, Boston Local 6, installing mechanical insulation products. Larry worked on projects such as Boston Edison Mystic Station Power Plant, Plymouth Nuclear Power Plant, Greater Lawrence Paper Mill, Boston Navy Seaport Plant and other large commercial and industrial construction projects. He returned to the insulation distribution business as the new General Manager of Industrial Insulation Division of Johnson Corporation, a distributor of industrial insulation and OEM parts.

Larry began his career with General Insulation Company as a warehouse employee working in various positions including Warehouse Manager and outside sales. In 1984, Larry returned to General Insulation as the Vice President and General Manager of the then single distribution branch location. Larry helped grow the business from its humble beginnings in 1984 to its current size.
Mark T. O’Neil
Executive Vice President

Mark began his career in the insulation industry as a sales representative for Johns Manville in the New York Metro area in 1978. He opened up the first branch of S.W. Anderson in New Jersey as Branch Manager. Mark also worked for Ward Process/American Acoustical Products, at the OEM fabrication facility in Holliston, Massachusetts as General Manager. After seven years in distribution, Mark returned to Johns Manville in 1989 as a Senior Sales Representative for New England. In 1992, Mark moved to Denver, Colorado where he was promoted to Regional Sales Manager. Mark was again promoted in 1996 to Director of Sales for the mechanical insulation division.

In 2000, Mark came to General Insulation as Vice President of Sales for the South and West sales regions.
Jim Law
Business Development Director
B.A. Liberal Arts and History, Siena College, Loudonville, New York
Jim uses his vast work experience to help make General Insulation function better each day. Before joining the General team, Jim spent twenty-six years at CertainTeed Corp. There, Jim held various sales and marketing positions in the Insulation Group. Jim’s final position at CertainTeed was Vice-President of the Industrial Division. While at CertainTeed, Jim was President for four consecutive years of insulation industry association TIMA (now NAIMA). Jim also spent thirteen years at Manson Insulation as Vice-President of US Markets with responsibility for all insulation related business in the United States.

Jim came to General Insulation in 2004 and has since held the position of Business Development Director.
Scott Campbell
Regional Vice President
Scott began his career in the industrial insulation field by receiving a crash course in insulation and gasketing from Larry Murphy. In 1983, Scott started working at General Insulation Company as a Warehouse Manager for Branch 1. After his stint as a Warehouse Manager, Scott began inside sales for the Somerville, Massachusetts branch. From this point, Scott became the Operations Manager for Somerville. After his time as Operations Manager, Scott became the General Manager for Branch 1. As of October 1, 2008, Scott entered his current role as Regional Vice President.
M.E. "Mick" Clinger, Jr.
Regional Vice President
In early 1979, Mick began his career in the insulation business when he started with North Bros. Company, a southeastern insulation distributor, fabricator, and contractor. Mick worked with their cold storage insulation division in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Later that year, Mick transferred to Orlando and held various positions for over twenty years including warehouse manager, inside and outside sales, estimating, assistant branch manager, and branch manager. In March of 2001, Mick joined the General Insulation team as the General Manager of Branch 5 in Orlando, Florida. Since October 2008, Mick has begun his duties as the Regional Vice President for the Florida region.
Rick McMullen
Regional Vice President

Rick started his career selling Dow Corning silicone to the aerospace and manufacturing industries. In 1996 he began to work for Refractory & Insulation Supply Company in West Deptford, New Jersey selling 3M Fire Stop in the Philadelphia market. In 1998, Rick began his career with the General Insulation team as an outside sales representative in Philadelphia, then General’s seventh branch. Rick was hired by Larry Murphy, who became acquainted with Rick at 3M’s national sales meetings. In 2005 Rick was promoted to General Manager, and in October 2008 Rick began his duties as Regional Vice President.
Mark Snodgrass
Regional Vice President
Studied Architectural Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin
While at the University of Texas at Austin, Mark began his career by working residential construction. In 1981, Mark joined a Houston mechanical contracting firm, The Emde Company, where he worked in Job Cost Management and Project Management. Mark transferred to Boston in 1986 to oversee construction projects such as International Place and 500 Boylston, among others. He continued his mechanical career as Project Manager in Boston for Bay State York, overseeing projects such as Fenway Park and Flagship Wharf. Mark joined General Insulation in 1990. This new career path allowed Mark to return to Texas to research and help establish a General Insulation Company affiliate in Dallas. He worked as branch Manager in Dallas from 1990 to 2003. In the ensuing years, more Texas branches became possible. As Southwest Regional Manager, Mark contributed to the development and oversight of the state’s growing outlets in Austin, Houston, and Harlingen. As of October 2008, Mark was promoted to Regional Vice President, and currently is responsible for the Texas branches as well as General’s west coast branches.
Gerry Towle
Regional Vice President
Gerry began his career at General Insulation as an outside sales representative in southern New England marketplace in 1988. In 1995, General Insulation Company became a distributor for 3M Fire Protection Products and Gerry was promoted to National Product Manager. Gerry worked together with a team of sales specialists, code officials, and fire marshals to promote and educate the awareness of life safety and fire protection from containment prospective. With eighteen years of experience, Gerry Towle has been leading the way in the firestop industry and is recognized as a proactive teacher and trainer dedicated to standing behind the moral and ethical responsibility that life safety products represent. As of October 2008, Gerry began his responsibilities as Regional Vice President for the Mid-West Branches.
Al Zaepfel
Regional Vice President
Al began his journey in the insulation industry right out of high school in 1984 as an installer. In 1990, Al opened an insulation contracting business until 1998 when he partnered with Buffalo Sheet Metals. The two business became BSM Insulation in 1999. Al’s major responsibility involved running the insulation division of the company. His projects included the AES Power Plant, Ralph Wilson Stadium, and the Can Fibre Paper Mill. In 2000, Al joined the General Insulation team as the General Manager of the Rochester, New York Branch. Two years later Al took over the responsibilities of the Buffalo, New York Branch in addition to Rochester. As of October 2008, Al became the Regional Vice President of the Great Lakes Region including Rochester, Buffalo, Erie, Pittsburgh, and Cleveland.
