Medford, Massachusetts (Corporate Office) 
  • Credit Manager
    • Candidates MUST have accounts receivable experience for a national (branch locations across country) organization, with construction/distribution industry related background.
    • Job Summary:  Responsible for the overall management of the credit functions. These functions include establishing credit standards, working with all General Managers and AR/Credit Personnel to ensure that all credit standards are being met, perform credit investigations, and collections of all accounts.
    • ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
      • Create collection standards and work with General Managers and AR/Credit Personnel to ensure credit standards are being met.
      • Review open accounts for collection efforts and make decisions on pending orders, closing accounts, and extending additional credit.
      • Establish credit limits on customer accounts.
      • Review and approve adjustments to accounts.
      • Monitor the percentages of aged accounts.
      • Make outbound collection calls.
      • Type and mail credit memos, vouchers, invoices, statements, and collection letters.
      • Communicate with internal and external customers by telephone and by mail to investigate complaints, verify accuracy of charges, or to correct errors on accounts.
      • Research and solve payment discrepancies.
      • Make adjustments to accounts as needed.
      • Open new accounts by administering company credit application process (review credit application; establish lines of credit, and conduct financial analysis including reference checking).
      • Create financial reports.
      • Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
    • OTHER FUNCTIONS:  Performs additional functions (essential or otherwise), which may be assigned.
    • TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must have the ability to sit and work on computer for long periods of time. Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 40 pounds.
    • TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Duties are performed typically in an office environment.
    • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
      • Must have a Bachelor’s four-year college degree.
      • Must have worked in a multi-state organization/company with related work experience in accounts receivable and or finance (technical skills in account reconciliation, credit extensions, payment plans, advanced mathematical and analytical skills, etc).
      • Requires planning and organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
      • Must be creative, have strong customer orientation, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
      • Requires analytical and problem resolution.
      • Requires proficiency in the use of typical office equipment and computer programs such as Word and Excel.
    • SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: 
      • Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid driver’s license
      • Must be willing to work odd hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
