After a tiring wait while watching the steel beams and outside structure of the new Green Mountain Coffee Roasters product facility go up across the street from their office, Acousta-Therm Corporation has finally been able to get inside the building and get to work. Located at 30 Kellog Road in Essex Junction, VT, the owner Brian Debuke had to wait for the phone call to come in while he watched the building take form out of his office window. This building is only one of the major investments that Green Mountain Coffee has made since the start of mass production of the now popular K-Cups.
On April 9th they were finally able to move in and start on this multi-phase project. They started out insulating a large roof drainpipe that was the first section on which they were able to start. After the roof drain, they will be moving on the building’s chill water pipes. Once the roof drain is complete, they will then be following Vermont Heating and Ventilating on all of the plumbing and heating throughout the rest of the project. Besides fiberglass pipe cover they have already locked in, the heating and ventilating will consist of 2” 1lb FSK duct wrap. This product will go on both the spiral and square ducts within the building. They also will require 1 ½” 3lb FSK board. The project is certainly the main focus of their summer and will keep them quite busy for a few months to come. We will follow them through the job with pictures and updates of the timeline and product focuses for each phase.
